Dr Valérie Heirman
Valerie, who knew she wanted to be a vet from a very early age, started studying at the University of Louvain in Belgium in 1979. She received her doctorate from the University of Liege (Cureghem) in 1986 and left to practice in the UK for 6 years during which time she specialised in X Ray and Ultrasonic techniques. She came to Chamonix in 1992.
She continues to update her knowledge of ultrasonics and regularly attends congresses. Fluent in French and English she has created a complete infrastructure to care for your pet. Her husband, Jean-Christophe Beche is a mountain guide and they have two daughters, Lucie and Gabrielle.
Born in the Chamonix valley, she worked for 15 years in the local tourist office and subsequently in Picardy and Annecy. She discovered her vocation thanks to her love of animals, in particular cats. 17 years have gone by in a flash as she reflects on how lucky she is to work in the most fulfilling profession in the world. Ghislaine will welcome and advise you with the highest standard of professionalism which is her defining characteristic.
